The David Ortiz Children's Fund Gala, the DOCF's annual Boston event, is proudly heading into its third year. Each year, David Ortiz brings a taste of the Dominican Republic to New England for a great cause. The event features an authentic Dominican-inspired menu, along with traditional music and dancing. A silent and live auction offer guests the opportunity to bid on incredible experiences and items, such as throwing the first pitch at a Red Sox game.

In its first two years, the Gala has netted over $250,000 for the David Ortiz Children’s Fund, in partnership with Massachusetts General Hospital for Children and World Pediatric Project, to provide critical pediatric care throughout New England and in the Dominican Republic. VIP guests have included Red Sox owners John Henry and Tom Werner, former and current Red Sox teammates Clay Buchholz, Shane Victorino, Jon Lester, Koji Uehara and Jonny Gomes, as well as Bruins legend, Derek Sanderson and US Olympic Gold Medalist, Aly Raisman.
